Monaco Vice-Prez Vasilyev not ruling out Chelsea flop Radamel Falcao making a summer return

Monaco vice-President Vadim Vasilyev has entertained the idea of Radamel Falcao making a return to the Principality club, in this interview with French radio station RMC.

Falcao’s relationship with Monaco is a bizarre one: having signed for the Ligue 1 club from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2013, the Colombian played just one season there, before being loaned out to Manchester United.

A disastrous season at Old Trafford saw the Falcao Express roll into Stamford Bridge, with his agent Jorge Mendes somehow convincing the Premier League champions to take a gamble on him, after he scored just 4 goals for United.

And things have gone even worse at Chelsea for Falcao.

Now probably 4th choice striker behind Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Alexandre Pato, Falcao’s chances of even playing for Chelsea again before the season is out look slim, not to say limited.

Amazingly, despite his two terrible seasons in the Premier League, Monaco may be prepared to take him back:

‘We thought about bringing him back in January, but he was injured.

“We’ll see what happens at the end of the season. We won’t exclude the possibility of him coming back to the club in the summer.
