Chelsea’s Antonio Conte wants Edinson Cavani transfer as Diego Costa determined to leave

The Spain international is reportedly pushing for a return to his old side Atletico Madrid, while there is also the possibility of a move to Paris Saint-Germain or the Chinese Super League.

Costa is unhappy with media scrutiny in England after earning a reputation for an overly aggressive approach on the pitch.

And this could lead Chelsea to sign a new big-name forward this summer, with the Guardian reporting that Conte has asked the club to look into bringing in Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguay international seems likely to quit PSG after a mixed spell in the French capital, though other reports claim Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, a former Blues man, is the priority target for that position
