Terry should continue - Hiddink roared
Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink believes that John Terry should try and prolong his footballing career for as long as possible.
Terrys future with the west London outfit appears to be unclear after he revealed he would not be extending his deal when it expires at the end of the term.
The 35-year-old has hinted that he wouldnt play for any other Premier League club and could be forced overseas to the MLS if he wants to find a new challenge.
Hiddink has warned Terry about calling time on his career prematurely and insists he will regret the decision if he retires at the end of this campaign.
"First of all if you love the game, and he loves the game, play as long as possible," Hiddink said. "Being a manager is OK but it's more or less a substitute for being a player.
"Being a player is the most beautiful thing you can experience if you love the game.
"So play as long as possible, until they come and say, 'Grandfather, please leave the pitch now.'"
