After picking up a hamstring injury and then making a recovery, John Terry has been absent from the first team or the last two weeks.
Terry, now thirty-five years of age, picked up an Achilles injury and has missed the last two games, two games where Guus Hiddink has fielded a make-shift back four.
However, in an attempt to get back into action as soon as possible, Terry has taken to having platelet-rich plasma therapy.
Now I`m no medical expert and I can`t claim to know the ins and outs of the treatment but, to me, it would seem that it could be perceived as a last ditch attempt to get sufficient match-time under his belt to convince the incoming manager, Antonio Conte, he is worth a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of the season.
Terry must fear that Conte, if he can`t get back to full fitness very soon, will decide that our captain, leader and legend has served his time and should be moved on.
We can but wait and see!
