Well, one man who knows a lot about this deal is Walter Sabatini, Roma’s director of football, speaking about the Nainggolan deal, he said: “I don’t think he will go, because he wants to stay at Roma.”
This goes a long way in indicating that the player is not exactly thrilled at the prospects of joining a side lacking Champions League football. As a contrast, Roma are currently fighting Napoli for second spot in Serie A, with participation in the elite European competition already guaranteed through the play-offs at least.
