The German has undoubtedly been head and shoulders above his Chelsea counterpart this season, but has struggled to replicate his 2015 form in the early stages of this year.
Fabregas, on the other hand, has started to show signs of life under Guus Hiddink, registering three assists this year to Ozil’s none.
The Spaniard put in a vintage performance during Chelsea’s 5-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday, producing one particularly impressive, long-range assist for Pedro.
