Chelsea’s Roman Abramovich keen to invest in David Beckham’s Miami MLS team

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly interested in investing in David Beckham’s proposed MLS team.

The England legend is keen to set up a side in Miami and plans to serve as chairman, though he may not be the majority shareholder.

Abramovich is one of a number of names showing an interest, with Beckham keen to get a businessman with experience in football on board, according to the Miami Herald.

Despite Beckham’s vast wealth, the 40-year-old looks in need of additional financial muscle to put together the club he wants.

It will cost an estimated $300million to build a new stadium, set up a state-of-the-art academy, and sign top quality players.
