Manchester City head coach offered Chelsea job

According to reports from Chilean sources, Manchester City head coach Manuel Pellegrini has already been offered the Chelsea manager’s job. The 62-year-old Pellegrini is set to leave the Etihad Stadium in the summer, as Man City have already confirmed officially that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola will take his place at the end of the season.

The Chilean is set to be in high demand, but it appears that he is particularly keen on remaining in the Premier League, with Chelsea looking like his most likely destination, as the Blues owner Roman Abramovich is actively searching for high-quality managers.

The same sources claim that Pellegrini is delighted with the idea of staying in the Premier League. Chelsea is one of the clubs he has been talking to, and they’ve shown a very attractive offer.

A Premier League title winner with City, Pellegrini was reportedly courted by Chelsea in 2013, but could well end up at the Stamford Bridge helm come the start of next season.

The Chilean manager has begun the coaching career back in 1988 with Universidad de Chile and made a long path before becoming the Manchester City boss. He also used to work at Real Madrid in 2009-10 but failed to win any major trophies.
