Nevertheless, Conte is already planning for life at Chelsea and has targeted Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
This is not the first time that Chelsea have been linked with the Belgian midfielder, who is a realistic target for the Blues, even without Champions League football.
Di Marzio reveals that Chelsea and Conte face competition for Radja Nainggolan from Juventus as well.
If Juventus were to sell Paul Pogba, they have identified Nainggolan as a possible replacement.
As it stands, Roma are third in Serie A and have a realistic chance of making the Champions League next season. But, the financial incentives at Chelsea (or Juventus) would be much greater than in the Italian capital.
