Eden Hazard’s hopes of finally ending Premier League scoring duck dashed

If you’d said this time last year that the only goals Eden Hazard would score this season would be in the FA Cup, you’d have been sectioned.

But that’s how things have transpired.

The beleaguered Belgian was named PFA Player of the Year last season but has looked anything but that this time round.

And Hazard’s wait for a first top-flight goal this campaign is set to go on even longer after Belgium coach Marc Wilmots revealed he will be out for three to four weeks with a hip injury.

Hazard sustained the problem in the Champions League defeat to PSG last week and hasn’t recovered in time for Saturday’s juicy London derby with West Ham.

I’m not a betting man, but I’d Hazard a guess Eden won’t break his duck this season now.
