Chelsea reported No.10 target set to stun Blues after signing new deal

Juventus midfield star Paul Pogba is set to sign a new deal with the Italian Serie A side amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, according to his agent.

The 22-year-old has seen his stock rise since his move from Manchester United in 2012 and is now on demand by some of the best clubs in Europe including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain.

However his agent Mino Raiola is adamant the midfielder is not desperate to leave Turin and could be set to sign a new deal with the ‘Old Ladies’.

“Paul has really surprised me in a positive sense over the years. Now he is a real star,” Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“His best attribute is his serenity, which is how he overcame his critics from the early part of the season.

“He has a key role in the France squad. As for Juventus, I can only say that he wears the No 10 well despite some early season woes.

“Nothing has changed compared to a year ago. He has a great relationship with the club.

“Juve won’t accept anything less than €100million (£79m) for his sale and I agree with that, though he is more than happy to remain with the Bianconeri.

“We are even ready to sign a new contract.”

With Italian manager Antonio Conte – an admirer of Pogba – set to be appointed as new Blues manager, Pogba’s future could be at West London if Conte manages to attract him.

Defending Premier League champions could yet miss out on him as they prepare for an exile in Europe elite competition, the Champions League.
