Jamie Carragher hit out at Chelsea on Thursday night after the Liverpool legend became embroiled in a spat with ex-Blues defender Jason Cundy.

Liverpool are bidding to win Europe’s second-tier competition for the first time since Carragher and his former team-mates were 5-4 winners against Alaves in 2001.
Former Chelsea man Cundy was critical of Liverpool on talkSPORT despite their 4-3 thrilling comeback win at Anfield in the Europa League.
However, Carragher leapt to the defence of his former employers and slammed Chelsea.
“You said something about Liverpool fans living in the past, what has that got to do with tonight?” Carragher told talkSPORT.
“Doesn’t everyone do that (live off their history)? Chelsea haven’t got any so it’s difficult for them.”
Liverpool have been pitted against La Liga side Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final later this month.
