Juventus reveal price for Italian ace; EPL clubs on high alert

Italian giants Juventus have had a strong domestic season but have not been able to impress in the Champions League thanks to the 4-2 defeat at the Allianz Arena earlier in the season.

They have a very strong squad that can beat the best teams in Europe but the failure to extend their Champions League campaign beyond the round of 16 will surely make them think about changing personnel at the club this summer.

And the first player who might be out of the club is the under-performing Simone Zaza.

aza moved to Juventus from Sassuolo in a £14m deal last summer after an impressive season but has not been able to replicate his form in the current campaign.

He has made just 15 appearances for the club which hardly includes any starts and it is now understood that the Italian outfit are ready to get rid of the 24-year old this summer.

Italian media outlet Tuttosport have revealed that the Juve chiefs still believe that the player has a future at the club but are ready to listen to offers and have not problems off-loading him if the right offer presents itself.

And the right opportunity, in this case, is suggested to be around the £24m mark as it would provide the club with enough funds to replace the player with a proper European star.

In the past, Zaza has been linked with a move to Chelsea where Italian national Antonio Conte is said to take charge but the agent of the 24-year old dismissed all the rumors and declared that the player is now concentrated on cementing a place in Juve’s starting XI.

“I learned from the press about the approach of Simone to Chelsea.”

“I have nothing to declare, they are only rumors at the moment,” he said talking to TuttoJuve.com recently.

He also added that the player will not rush to make a decision and that the EURO16 will also help him get more time before deciding his future.

Several other clubs like Arsenal, AC Milan and AS Roma are also interested in the striker but the price tag set on him by the Italian giants might scare potential suitors away.

Acquired at just £14m, Juve are hoping to bag a profit of around 60% from Zaza but his performance in the season do not give the Italian outfit a chance to sell him at such a high price.

So it will be interesting to see if any of the European clubs are ready to pay the asking price but if they are not, Juve have no real option than to reduce the price.

Do you think Zaza is worth his price tag?
