Mourinho and Unfinished Business

The name of Romelu Lukaku continues to figure in transfer speculation this morning.

Two further snippets have come to light that may be of interest to Vital Chelsea readers.

The first, courtesy of a leading UK tabloid, the Mirror, infers that although Lukaku has intimated he wants to leave Everton to pursue his dream of playing in the Champions League, there could still be a possibility that Lukaku could make a return to Stamford Bridge.

Our source suggests that Lukaku has 'unfinished` business, presumably meaning that he still wants to prove himself as a Chelsea player.

The other snippet and something I feel is far more interesting, comes from the Telegraph. The up-market media source is implying that when Jose Mourinho agreed to sell Lukaku to Everton, after successful loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Goodison Park, Jose advised against inserting a buy-back clause in the deal.

Which, the up-market media vehicle infers is the reason why, if Chelsea are serious about bringing the 22-year-old Belgian to Stamford Bridge, the fee will be around the £65 million mark.

Your views on the subject matter would be most appreciated.
