Thursday Transfer Gossip: PSG want Sanchez as Zlatan replacement, Real eye United midfielder
Arsenal:
After Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent confirmed the Swedish striker wants to continue playing Champions League football when he leaves PSG this summer, AS have provided some bad news for Arsenal fans.
That’s because they believe the French champions will move for Alexis Sanchez as his replacement. Uh oh.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are one of three times monitoring the progress of 17-year-old Aston Villa hotshot Andre Green, according to Mirror Online.
Chelsea:
Chelsea are rebuilding for the future and with Antonio Conte’s arrival now confirmed, plenty of players from Serie A past and present are being linked with a move.
The Daily Mail and Tuttomercatoweb claim Arturo Vidal and Miralem Pjanic respectively are both prime midfield targets for the current Italy manager.
The Blues are likely to be without on-loan defender Andreas Christensen next season though, with the young centre back set to spend another year at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Liverpool:
While Arsenal appeared to be in pole position last week, Sport Bild claim it is in fact Liverpool who are the only club to hold talks with Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka.
The Reds are also reportedly willing to meet Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho’s €20m release clause this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
Manchester City:
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is remaining coy over his future, with the Barcelona goalkeeper vehemently denying he has agreed any prospective summer move to City.
Manchester United:
There are plenty of rumours surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, with Sport in Spain claiming Real Madrd will offer him back to United for just £48.2m. Bargain?
Elsewhere, Fichajes believe Real will turn to Ander Herrera as an alternative if they miss out on Paul Pogba this summer.
Tottenham:
Spurs have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Axel Witsel, with Roma joining a host of Italian clubs reportedly interested in the £32m-rated midfielder, according to Il Sussidiario.
