Nainggolan would provide similar assurance to Cesc and we could once again see Chelsea midfield dominate Premier League next season. Another important facet to Nainggolan’s game is his ability to play key passes and create chances.
According to Opta, Nainggolan has played 37 key passes and created 38 chances this season. Miralem Pjanic is also linked with Chelsea in the summer, which would make Nainggolan’s commanding presence all the more important for Conte as he would allow the other flair players to go forward and win games for The Blues.
Nainggolan playing in the 4-3-3
If Conte decides to play a 4-3-3 formation, Nainggolan would ideally be playing at the tip of 3-man midfield. Paul Pogba is another big name player linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, who could slot alongside Nainggolan in midfield.
AS Roma star has been one of the most dependable players this season and it is hardly a surprise to see Chelsea push for his transfer before any other attacking options. Nainggolan would sort out Chelsea’s midfield which looked really fragile this season.
Antonio Conte wants impact players in his squad and given Nainggolan’s tenacious playing style and incredible work rate, he would be an automatic fit for Chelsea. The Blues are expected to go through a massive squad overhaul in the summer with this Belgian midfield powerhouse being the most important inclusion.
