Chelsea have moved to trump Manchester United for Sporting CP attacker Joao Mario.
Portuguese sources claim United and Sporting have been haggling over a fee for Mario for the past fortnight.
However, Calciomercato.it says Chelsea, on recommendation of Antonio Conte, have also made contact.
Chelsea are now in talks with Mario's agent about a move to London this summer.
Sporting are demanding €60 million to sell the Portugal international.
