French side Monaco’s vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has announced that Chelsea star Radamel Falcao will be playing for the Ligue 1 club again in 2016-17.
The Colombian star joined Monaco from Atletico Madrid in 2013 but picked up a serious knee injury midway through his first campaign at the Stade Louis II.
The Striker was then sent out on loan to Man United in 2014-15, only to be moved on to The Blues the following year.
The experienced striker failed to impress in the Premier League, and will return to Monaco next term.
“Falcao will return, I am almost certain that he will be with Monaco next campaign.
“We are still finalising a few details, but I expect him to wear the Monaco jersey next season.” – Vasilyev told reporters.
Meanwhile, Ligue 1 champions PSG have contacted to Manchester United in regards to working on a potential deal for star striker Antony Martial, according to the L’Equipe.
The young attacker has been one of the few bright lights at Old Trafford this season after a blockbuster move from Monaco over the course of the summer.
While £36m, which could rise to £58m, initially appeared to be extremely expensive, the France International has gone on to become one of the most exciting prospects in European football.
Martial has netted 17 goals in all competitions and added a further eight assists in his first season as a Premier League footballer.
With former Barcelona star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving the French capital, the Ligue 1 champions are reportedly lining up marquee successors for the Swedish star this summer.
The manager Laurent Blanc is said to be looking for a striker who can operate on the left of an attacking trident, with Edinson Cavani going into the centre of the frontline.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar have both linked, but the report claims Parisians have made enquiries over The Man United star to bring him back to Ligue 1.
