Conte’s €27m-rated target powerhouse discusses his potential Chelsea move

Despite that Chelsea are desperately chasing for the signature of Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger, the German centre-back has revealed that he knows nothing of a reported move to Antonio Conte’s side.

Former Stuttgart star has only joined the Serie A giants on a permanent basis earlier this week after AS Roma activated the option to buy him fully from Stuttgart.

Due to the financial problems of the Italian club, Roma could be forced to sell some of their highly-rated players as they look to balance the books and one player who has been linked with a transfer away is German powerhouse.

The latest reports from Daily Star claim that the Stamford Bridge side were ready to launch €27m bid for the Germany international, and they were prepared to offer him a five-year contract deal. But Rudiger, who is currently preparing for this summer’s Euro 2016, has admitted that he’s not thinking about his future.

During his interview with Sport Italia,  Rudiger said: “I know nothing. At the moment I am only focusing on the European Championship with Germany.”

The 23-year-old star has been in excellent form at Stadio Olimpico this season, playing in 30 Serie A matches, scoring two goals. Furthermore, Rudiger has completed 87% of his passes and he’s also won 53% of his tackles.
