Antonio Conte’s £63m dream transfer target confirms his next move

As per the latest transfer news, Chelsea have handed another transfer blow, as Atletico Madrid leader Antoine Griezmann has told his friends that he’s prepared to snub Premier League offers in order to stay at La Liga giants this summer.

The world-class France international is now one of the best strikers in European football and has been closely monitored by the Blues, who attempted to sign him in the past, Man United and Man City.

The Frenchman has fired Diego Simeone’s side into Champions League final while scoring the decisive goal in the semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich – it was thought that France international might be willing to move on if the La Liga giants wanted to cash in if the £63m release clause in his contract was met.

The reports also claim that Atlético want to tie the 25-year-old down to a new deal and raise his release clause even higher, which would prohibit a move. His current deal already runs until 2020.

Chelsea have been interested in the ex-Real Sociedad striker for several years and have inquired about his availability in the past. The Stamford Bridge side need to reinforce their attacking options this summer as do both Manchester clubs with the Red Devils emerging as his most recent suitor.

Diego Simeone’s favourite superstar has been considered to be one of the stars of Euro 2016, which would raise his transfer value even more, and it has come as something of a surprise that it appears he is happy to stay at Vicente Calderon.
