Guus Hiddink Gets Custom Chelsea Moped as Leaving Present From Club
Chelsea have loved the job Guus Hiddink has done at the club this season so much that they gifted him a custom club moped as a leaving present.
The Dutch manager returned to Stamford Bridge in December for a second interim spell in charge following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
He was already loved from his first time at the club, helping Chelsea to the FA Cup as well as an improvement in the Premier League in 2009.
But this was a totally different challenge for Hiddink, as he arrived at Chelsea with the club closer to the relegation zone than the title race.
Mourinho endured a toxic end to his tenure in charge of the English giants and the Dutchman had a big job on boosting morale.
And he’s done exactly that – helping Chelsea recover to break back into the top 10 and losing just six of his 26 games in charge.
Hiddink will depart again in the summer as Antonio Conte gets set to take over on a permanent basis – and he’ll do so with a boost in his own reputation and bank balance.
But he’s also been given a brilliant gift from the club in the shape of his own Chelsea moped. Seriously:
