Roma to field third Chelsea bid for midfielder

While Radja Nainggolan continues his fine season with strong displays for Belgium at Euro 2016, the Roma man is the subject of a fresh approach from Chelsea.

Already, the Premier League giants have seen two bids for the midfielder rebuffed by the Giallorossi, who lost Miralem Pjanic to rivals Juventus earlier in the window.

Demanding €38 million for Nainggolan, Roma will have to brace for a third bid from the Blues according to Daily Mirror, as Antonio Conte places the Belgian among his top targets in the summer transfer window.

However, Lupi coach Luciano Spalletti is certain that the 28-year-old will stay put with the Serie A side, the player once saying he’d never speak to Pjanic again if the Bosnian playmaker left Roma for Juve.

It has previously been mooted that Chelsea are willing to offer Nainggolan a €6m annual salary, although Roma are willing to throw a bumper contract extension at a man who was one of their star players throughout 2015/16.
