Premier League : A few major things to look forward to in Gameweek 7

The glamour contest of the Premier League weekend indeed has to be Spurs vs Manchester City, while the manager sacking game might begin this week.

The key players in each squad are out, and yet this is poised to be one of the best games this week. Spurs will try to penetrate the Manchester City defense, as it will be an easier job at White Hart Lane, and with Son making a huge impact after returning in action, it will be one heck of a ride.

The manager sacking business may begin this weekend if Swansea fail to gain any point against Liverpool, after Francesco Guidolin’s side managed to get one point in the last four games. Liverpool are yet to keep a clean sheet this season and the manner in which Guidolin sets about exposing his forwards would be a tricky proforma in hand. Should Sigurdsson and Llorente play as well again, they are likely to pose no end of problems for Liverpool’s defence as that is the area Jurgen Klopp is trying his best to work on.

For the past few weeks, having scored for the Baggies in the past two Premier League games, Salomón Rondón will be relishing the prospect of a few more goals to his tally against a deep Sunderland defence before heading off on international duty with Venezuela. On the other hand, the new sensation in Jonathan Leko is the key to success for David Moyes, who himself mentioned recently that he had no idea why they were performing this poor.

“We are very solid, it’s difficult to score a goal against us, but today is very, very strange,” Claudio Ranieri said last week, when his side let in four goals in a single half against a lackluster Manchester United side who looked vulnerable. They will face the Saints as they will try to work on the champions league form, being the only team apart from Athletico Madrid to keep a clean sheet in both the games.

On the other hand, Manchester United and Arsenal will have easy Premier League fixtures against Stoke City and Burnley; and they would look forward to continue their good goalscoring form from the last weekend.
