With a round of international fixtures set to interrupt the Premier League season, yet again, the Spanish squad has been announced.
Spain, during this international break, are set to face Italy (a) and Romania (a).
With Chelsea having a fair sprinkling of Spanish stars in their squad, we expected some to be called up and that has proven to be the case with Vicente del Bosque sending out a call for:
• Cesar Azpilicueta
• Pedro
• Cesc Fabregas
to join up
However, here is no call-up for Diego Costa who has been replaced in the Spanish squad by Aritz Aduriz.
It appears that Diego Costa`s problem with a tendon in a hip muscle troubling him, is the reason.
We wish those called up all the best on their travels and will endeavour to follow their progress on the international stage.
