According to the reports from Britain, Premier League giants Chelsea are still desperate to sign England international and Everton Centre-back John Stones and the same sources suggest that Chelsea newly appointed manager Conte is eager to finalise the deal before the season ends.
Everton defender was top summer target for Ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as Merseyside Blues have knocked back several approaches from the Blues and the last third bid was around £37m.
The 21-year old star was under fire during Merseyside Blues poor season and was again scrutinised after 4-0 defeat to Liverpool. But that has not put off Pep Guardiola, Louis van Gaal, Antonio Conte, Luis Enrique and Jose Mourinho, who would all jump at the chance to work with Stones next season.
Merseyside Blues have reportedly made an attempt to convince the centre-back to sign a new contract, but the pen has not been put to paper, leading to more questions over his future.
However, Chelsea are hopeful that they can take advantage of the situation especially with they are in need of defensive reinforcements as captain Terry not getting younger.
