Transfer News: No Vardy medical, Man United's new arrival, Zouma doubts Mourinho interest

Leicester star Jamie Vardy has yet to undergo a medical with Arsenal, it has been claimed.

The Gunners are reported to have triggered a buy-out clause in Vardy's contract with a bid in the region of £20m and a lucrative four-year deal is on the table.

ESPN quoted a source close to Arsenal as saying Vardy was due to undergo a medical yesterday, but Evening Standard journalist James Olley claims it's yet to take place.

Jose Mourinho has appointed Ricardo Formosinho as his technical scout at Manchester United.

The Portuguese served under compatriot Mourinho at Porto during his first Champions League success, and subsequently followed him to Real Madrid.

Formosinho, 59, will be responsible for tactical scouting and assessing potential signings as United look to reclaim a Champions League spot, according to The Sun.

Mourinho has the daunting task of rebuilding United's reputation on the world stage but is unlikely to poach Kurt Zouma from former club Chelsea.

The France international has previously described Mourinho as 'the best coach in the world' but doesn't think he will be called by the Portuguese tactician.

Speaking with French website MYTF1, Zouma was asked if he could follow his former boss to Old Trafford, he said: "I do not think he will call me. I think there are other problems to solve but I'm fine at Chelsea."
